PUBLIC NOTICE
TRUSTEE’S NOTICE OF SALEWHEREAS Perry Tedford executed a Deed of Trust to First Tower Loan, LLC, d/b/a Tower Loan of Holly Springs as beneficiary, with John E. Tucker as Trustee, which Deed of Trust is dated October 30, 2019 and recorded in Book 414 at Page 634 in the office of the Chancery Clerk of Calhoun County, Mississippi, and;
WHEREAS a Scrivener’s Affidavit was executed stating that Perry Tedford is one and the same person as Perry N. Tedford, which Scrivener’s Affidavit is recorded as Instrument Number 2020001874 in Book 421 at Page 456 in the office of the Chancery Clerk of Calhoun County, Mississippi, and;
WHEREAS default having been made in the payment under said Deed of Trust and the entire debt secured thereby having been declared due and payable in accordance with the terms thereof, and the holder of that Deed of Trust having called upon me as Trustee to execute the trust and make foreclosure thereof according to law and the terms of said Deed of Trust for the purpose of raising said sum so secured and unpaid, together with the expenses of selling same, including trustees and attorney fees;
NOW THEREFORE, I, John E. Tucker, Trustee, do hereby give notice that I will offer for sale at public outcry and sell to the highest bidder for cash in hand the following described real property at the North Front Door of the Courthouse of Calhoun County, Mississippi at Pittsboro, Mississippi on September 18, 2020 during legal hours between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm, such property lying and being situated in Calhoun County, Mississippi and more particularly described as follows:
Lot No. 26 in Block No. 1, Town of Bruce, Mississippi, numbered according to the Richardson Survey of said Town, and as shown by the Plat and Map thereof on file in the office of the Chancery Clerk of Calhoun County, Mississippi.

Advertisement for Bids
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Derma, Mississippi will receive sealed bids for cleaning up and rebuilding damaged structures at the park located at 319 Brumley Street in Derma. Bids will be received up until the hour of 4:00 p.m. on Friday, the 18th day of September, 2020, and said bids will be opened at a Recessed meeting to be held on said date at 6:00 p.m. at the Town hall. The bids must be submitted as follows.
• Separate itemized bid to clean up and remove debris, fencing, and fallen tree
• Separate itemized bid to rebuild the fence and press box.
The Total bid cannot exceed $ 20,853.21.
The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids submitted.
The successful bidder will be notified after the Board of Aldermen of Derma, Mississippi has accepted or rejected the bids.

RESOLUTION SETTING AD VALOREM TAX LEVY ON
REAL AND PERSONAL PROPERTY FOR TAXES
FOR THE CITY OF CALHOUN CITY
FOR THE YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2020
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF CALHOUN CITY:
SECTION 1: For the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2020, there shall be and there is hereby levied on all taxable property, real and personal, within the corporate limits of the City of Calhoun City for ad valorem taxes for municipal purposes the following levy to be collected upon each dollar of assessed value as shown upon the real and personal ad valorem assessment rolls of said City of Calhoun City as to such property within the city limits, to-wit:
GENERAL FUND……………………… 33.5 MILLS
SECTION 2: The clerk of this board be and she is hereby ordered to have this resolution printed and have a copy of this resolution published in its entirety in the Calhoun County Journal, a newspaper published in this county, within ten days after this date, and to certify a copy of this resolution to the Tax Collector of Calhoun County, to the Chancery Clerk of Calhoun County, to the State Tax Commission, and to the State Auditor, as required by Section 21-33-47, Mississippi State Code of 1972 Annotated.
SECTION 3: This resolution shall be in full force and effect after its passage.

BE IT ORDERED AND RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF BRUCE, MISSISSIPPI, that there be, and the same is hereby adopted, the following tax rate or levy on all property, both real and personal, within the City of Bruce, Mississippi, for fiscal year 2020/2021. The levy is hereinafter shown and the rate hereinafter set forth for the various purposes and requirements. Said levies are expressed in mills and decimal fractions of mills, and IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that said levies and rates as herein set forth is and the same are hereby ordered to be collected upon each dollar of the assessed property valuation, as shown upon the assessment rolls for the City of Bruce, Mississippi, for fiscal year 2020/2021.
Said levies thus imposed for the purposes set forth are as follows:

2. PARK #20 1.30 mills
3. LIBRARY #22 .90 mills
