Polar Bear Paws a holiday favorite for Kakales

Usually Shana Kakales and daughters, Charleigh Beth and Mary Alex, just make candy one big time for the holidays when they have a chance.
Polar Bear Paws are a favorite of hers that she found on Pinterest, and she says they are really good.
The girls like the pretzels with a Rolo on top and pecan half, “which is great because those are so easy and quick,” she said, but husband Johnny’s favorites are Oreo balls.

Polar Bear Paws

1-11 oz. bag Kraft caramel bits or squares
3 Tbsp. heavy whipping cream
1 Tbsp. butter
1 cup peanuts, roasted and/or cocktail
12 oz. vanilla almond bark or white melting wafers

Line large cooking sheet with Silpat mats or parchment paper and grease with butter.
Melt caramels with butter and cream in microwave in 30 second increments, stirring and repeating until smooth.
Mix in peanuts and let sit in bowl to cool about 15 minutes, stirring every few minutes. Spoon onto mats in tablespoon size mounds.
Place in fridge 30-60 minutes until set. Place chocolate in bowl and melt in microwave on low in 30 second increments and stir until melted and smooth.
Dip caramel cluster in chocolate and use fork to remove. Holding it over bowl, tap fork on the edge to let any excess chocolate drip back down.
Place cluster back on parchment lined paper and repeat with remaining clusters. Put pan back in fridge 30-60 minutes until chocolate is set. Remove and package.
