She likes to make the Mushroom Appetizers on Saturday afternoons while they are watching football.
A longtime favorite appetizer of hers is Congo Squares, a recipe she learned from her mother, Jill Ferguson.
6 fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 can (8) crescent rolls
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese,
Saute mushrooms in butter, then drain. Lay out dough in two long rectangles. Spread each rectangle with cream cheese. Sprinkle with seasoned salt and spread lightly with mustard. Cover with mushrooms. Roll up from one long edge. Slice into about 1/2” pieces. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes.
