Bettie Pullen

Bettie Virginia Herron Pullen, 77, of Big Creek, died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2015 at her daughter’s home in Byhalia. She was born August 5, 1938 in Horn Lake. She was the daughter of William Milton and Margaret V. Grooms Herron. She was a retired office manager for Kellwood, member of Big Creek Baptist Church,  and member of the American Legion Auxillary.

Visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 7 from noon until service time at 2 p.m. at Pryor Funeral Home in Calhoun City. Bro. Jimmy Vance will be officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Big Creek with Pryor Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be David H. Pullen Jr., David H. Pullen III, Coleman A. Pullen, Tony Pullen, Butch Alford and Davin Ward.

She is survived by one daughter, Connie (Brian) Campbell, Olive Branch; one son, David H. Pullen, Jr., Big Creek; one sister, Aubrey Nellie (Glenn) Howell, Southaven; three grandchildren, David H. “Tripp” Pullen III, Coleman A. “Colby” Pullen, Nikki Lauren Campbell and two great-grandchildren, Colton Alexander Pullen and Annie Rose Pullen. She was preceded in death by her husband, David H. Pullen, Sr., parents, four brothers and six sisters.
