Back after snow; Bro. Terry gives message

By Published On: March 3, 2021

I pray the week has found everyone well. Things have been great at Mt. Liberty.
We were able to go back to church Sunday. The road conditions kept us out for a couple weeks. It was a beautiful weekend. You couldn’t even tell a winter storm had hit the week before.
That’s the south for you I guess. You never know what form of weather you will get.

Bro. Terry Allen brought us the sermon Sunday. He made 4 different points from the text. First, things ain’t changed a bit. Romans 3:23 says for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. This is just as true today as it was then.
We are justified by His grace thru the redemption of Jesus (v. 24). A person who is not saved should tremble in fear of the wrath of God. If you’re not saved, you are an enemy of God.
Second, thank God we are has beens. We were sinners, but then washed in the blood of Christ. We were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of God (1 Cor. 6:10).
Third, we should wannabe more like Jesus. We should be walking in the newness of life (Romans 6:4). We don’t need to act like a Christian, we need to be a Christians.
“He who says he abides in him ought himself to walk just as He walked” (1 John 2:6). He walked in love.
A person who does not love, doesn’t know God, because God is love. And finally, there are those that never was. If you have not been washed in the blood of Jesus, then you are not saved.
Jesus didn’t come to give us a new car or a new house or a new washing machine. He came to give us eternal life.
The pleasures of this world will choke you (Luke 8:14). The day is coming where there won’t be another chance to be saved. The Lord is good and ready to forgive (Psalm 86:5).
Bro. Terry also told us there will be a tent revival happening from March 29- April 2, 2021, at 591 Wise Street.
Prayer will begin at 6:30 pm. Services will be at 7:00 pm with pastor Steve Parrish bringing the message. Everyone is invited to attend.
If you’re looking for a home church, we would love for you to join us at Mt. Liberty. Sunday school starts at 10. Service is at 11. We love you all and may God bless.
