Derma-Vardaman News: Lots of wonderful visitors this week

Had a great weekend. Son Joe and his wife Amy drove up from their home in Mobile and spent the weekend. We rode to Starkville to the home of a longtime school friend of mine (from kindergarten through graduation) and went out to eat. Afterward we were invited to his daughter’s home to watch the great win by the MS State Bulldogs. Of course first getting into Starkville Joe had to drive around the campus and show Amy everything.
Recently David Laughlin spent the weekend with his mother, Laura Laughlin. They enjoyed attending church with Buzz and Annie Busby in Eupora. Afterwards was a big family cookout celebrating Father’s Day and David’s birthday.
JB Wells, Rainer Nichols, Skyler Nichols, and Jamie Warren traveled by RV to Omaha, NE to the College World Series. They had a great time attending several of the earlier games.
Daughter-in-law Amy and I went to the Community Farmer’s Market on Calhoun City Square Saturday morning early. Around the square there were already lots of cars parked from others with the same ideas Amy and I had. I have really enjoyed the items I bought and the fresh tomatoes were wonderful. I understand they will not have the market the weekend of the 4th, but will return as usual on July 10 from 8:00 to 12:00.
Ones I have on the prayer list this week are Robert Earl McGregor, Ann Whitt, Calvin Barnett, Jimmy Coker, Alan Murphree, Shirley Curtis, Annelle Scott, Henry Lee Taylor, Wilma Gibson, and Jeannie Gaspard. Many others I know are sick so please pray for those you know of for their comfort.
Sympathy to the families of Norverto “Vello” De Loera and Bro. Hollis Vaughn Bryant who recently passed away. Prayers for comfort to the many friends and their families during this difficult time.
