Blood drive for Jane Haney set for Feb. 16

Our daughter Gale Terry came Friday from her home in Crystal Springs to spend the weekend with me. Bless her heart it did me good to have her here with me.
We did some tossing out, organized things, and went to Tupelo Saturday. Ate at The Grill in Tupelo and just enjoyed time together. I will be eating a week off the foods she brought with her. She is such a good cook.
Judy Doolittle’s sister, Jane Haney, has been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. She is in UMMC-Jackson having treatments. There is to be a blood drive at Cumberland Baptist Church, 216 Old Cumberland Rd, Maben, MS on Tuesday, February 16 from 2-7 PM. The family will greatly appreciate if you could donate.

If you are unable to go that day, you can go to any MS Blood Services location, and donate for her. The code for Jane is EA 60. For more information and to schedule your appointment for the blood drive you can contact Judy Doolittle at 662-983-0585 cell or 662-637-2980 home.
Jane is having to receive blood, platelets, or both almost daily so I know it is much needed to help her at this time.

Bradford Chapel Baptist Church will be cooking stew next weekend. It will be ready Saturday, Feb. 13 at the church. The price is $30 per gallon.
You may contact Julia Bingham at 983-0649. With the really cold weather to move in, stew sounds good to have on those cold nights.
Please remember all those fighting the Covid virus in our community as well as Martha Bailey, Jimmy Coker, Penny Lucius, James Tedder, Wilma Gibson, Mike Young, Sue Martin, Alan Murphree, Ann Whitt, Billy Doyle Alexander, Paul Griffin, Sandra Parker, Henny Lee Taylor and his wife Linda.

Sympathy and prayers for the families of Winnie Hawks, Steve Box, and Dana Morneault husband of Pamela (Suggs) Morneault of Memphis, TN formerly of Derma. Each will be missed but are with no pain now, so prayers for comfort to those they have left behind.
