Lynn Casey on mend; COVID still increasing

By Published On: January 13, 2021

The week at the Gibson’s house was not a bad one, at least no one was sick. Cold, yes.
As I sit here on this Sunday night wondering if we will have the snow that is in our forecast or not.
It is so seldom we do have snow, and surely don’t welcome any ice that may come our way.
As you read this, you know if we did or not. Ran by the grocery store Saturday and told the check-out girls that I was out of bread NOT buying any thinking we would be iced in.
We received a call from friend Lynn Casey this week. Was so good to hear him and that he is recovering from his covid-19 virus at BMH-Calhoun and having therapy.

When I began to write my article I always go online to Facebook to search for any events in our area, or in close towns. There are many events but all are listed as online.
This Covid has really cut off gatherings of any kind. This week from January 3rd to January 10th we have increased number of cases by 87. Total cases as of today is 1286 for Calhoun County.
Please include in your prayers for the ones with Covid-19 that you know of and others with health problems.
Those I know of Doug Russell, Penny Lucius I understand has been transferred to the nursing home due to her injuries, Harold Tallent, Ann Whitt, Alan Murphree, Waylon Logan, Lisa Norwood, Jimmy Coker, Shirley Herrod, Wilma Gibson, AG Gibson,

Henry Lee Taylor, Bob Dye, Charles and Sandra Parker, Robbie Sue Hubbard and Billy Doyle Alexander.
There are many more I have not heard from, but will be glad to add them to the prayer list if you will let me know.
Sympathy for the families of Ravis Winter, Diane Harmon, Jack Spencer, Gerald Dean Griffin, and Teresa Holder Parker.
This is the hardest part of my article to write. It is sad to see so many that have left this earthly place, but we know they are in no pain now.
Each will be missed by their families and all that knew them. Pray for comfort for all.
