Pittsboro man arrested for shooting Bruce man

A Bruce man is in stable condition after being shot in the face Sunday afternoon.
Billy Chaney was airlifted to Methodist Hospital where he is listed in stable condition, according to Sheriff Greg Pollan.

Jose Rodriguez Cisneros, of 417 CR 103, Pittsboro, was charged in the incident, which happened at his home around 3:30 p.m.

Sheriff Pollan said Chaney was shot in the face.

“He had been shot below the left eye and the bullet exited through the left ear.”
Cisneros was charged with attempted murder, intimidating a witness and felony possession of a firearm. He is in the Calhoun County Jail. Bond has not yet been set.
The investigation is ongoing.
