James Ghaffari

James Ramin Ghaffari, 49, of Hixson, TN received a new body Monday evening, March 23, 2015 when God called him home to be with Him in Heaven. He was a member of Middle Valley Baptist Church and before his illness he was Director of Sales for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee. He enjoyed coin collecting, photography and loved Auburn football. His greatest passion in life was supporting his children in sports and spending time with his family. His heart was for children around the world, including building a playground at an orphanage in Arkhangelsk, Russia. [Read more...]

Dororthy Cruthirds

Dorothy Ray Cruthirds, 77, of Bruce, died Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Baptist Hospital-NM in Oxford. She was born January 25, 1938, the daughter of D.V. Cruthirds and Hattie Leona Lay. Employed by Three Rivers, she was a home meal deliverer. She was a members of Bruce Chapel.

Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at Belle Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Bruce. Her funeral service will be Friday, April 3 at noon at New Hope COGIC in Bruce with Pastor Washington Cruthirds officiating. Burial will be in Bruce Community Cemetery in Pittsboro.

Survivors include three sons, James L. Cruthirds, Washington Cruthirds and Neal S. Cruthirds, all of Vicksburg; two daughters, Carrie C. Martin, Oxford, and Wanester C. Davis, Bruce; one brother, Willie E. Cruthirds, Pittsboro; six sisters, Hattie Daniels, Chicago; Jackie Cruthirds, Pittsboro; Agnes Longstreet, Nashville; Teresa Coffey, Vardaman; Viola Madkins, Memphis; Martha Doss; 13 grandchildren, 14 great-great grandchildren, and special friend, William Allen.
