Harrison Tutor

Harrison Lee Tutor, 62, of Houlka, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2009 at NMMC in Tupelo. He was born July 8, 1946 in Calhoun County, the son of Bobby Lee and Audie Beatrice Kincade Tutor. He was a farmer and member of Hopewell Baptist Church.

Ruby Hubbard

Ruby T. Hubbard, 88, of Bruce, died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009 at her daughter’s residence. She was born December 1, 1920 in Calhoun County, the daughter of Marvin Sutton and Dora Denna Culver Turner. She was a homemaker and member of Westside Baptist Church.

Jacob Bingham

Jacob Oliver Bingham, 75, died December 9, 2008 in Tucson, Az. He was born February 18, 1933, the youngest son of the late Guy V., Sr. and Greta Mitchell Bingham of Bradford Chapel community in southwest Calhoun County. Jake was a retired high school mathematics teacher having taught at Vardaman, Walnut School in Quitman county, and in Greenville, before moving to Fresno, Ca., where he taught for 32 years. After retirement, Jacob and his wife, June, moved to Tucson, Az., where they lived for 14 years.

Vardaman Alderman A.D. Wright Dies
