Bruce, Big Creek homes destroyed by fire

Two Calhoun County homes were destroyed by fire on Monday, one in Big Creek and the other in Bruce.

Two Calhoun County homes were destroyed by fire on Monday, one in Big Creek and the other in Bruce.
Big Creek and Calhoun City Fire Departments responded to the 10 a.m. fire at Buddy Rogers' home on CR 327 just west of Big Creek. No one was injured in the fire that completely engulfed the trailer.
Two hours later, Bruce and Chickenbone firefighters responded to a fire at 401 George Street in Bruce. Fire consumed the house owned by Eric Glaspie. Elois  Hall and her family lived in the house.
No injuries were reported from either fire. The cause of both remains under investigation.
