Bruce Chamber Banquet Is Thursday Night

The Bruce Chamber of Commerce will honor local citizens and businesses
at its annual banquet Thursday, Feb. 26 at the multi-purpose center in
Pittsboro.

The Bruce Chamber of Commerce will honor local citizens and businesses at its annual banquet Thursday, Feb. 26 at the multi-purpose center in Pittsboro.
The festivities will begin at 6:30 p.m. with an opening reception and silent auction featuring items donated from local businesses. The banquet will begin at 7 p.m.
Entertainment for this year’s banquet will be provided by local musical talent Bobby Hood of Calhoun City. Hood sings a variety of music including Gospel, Country and Elvis Presley.
Awards will be presented to the Bruce Citizen of the Year, Bruce Business of the Year, and Bruce Chamber Member of the Year.
Other recognitions will include incoming and outgoing board members and perfect attendance recipients, along with a few special community awards.
Bro. Billy McCord, who will serve a second term as chamber president, will emcee the event. Other chamber officers for 2009 are Vice-President Allison McDowell, and board members Rex Wilburn, Anthony Bollinger, Rhonda Jarrett, Joel McNeece, Bobby Wells, Daniel Hathorne,  Becky Wright, Chris Gulledge, and Randy Baker.
The meal will be catered by Chickenbone Fire Department.
