Brandon Lee wins “Run For Fun” at Calhoun City Festival

Brandon Lee, of Calhoun City, was the overall winner of the CCES PTA Run For Fun Saturday at the Calhoun City Arts and Crafts Festival. Lee finished the 5K with a time of 23:37. Brandon Lee of Calhoun City, Tim Jack Edmondson of Vardaman, and Bruce native Jeff Howell took home top overall honors in the CCES?PTA’s “Run For Fun” last Saturday during Calhoun City’s annual Arts and Crafts Festival.
Lee earned the win covering the 5K course in 23:37. Tim Jack Edmonson finished a close second with a time of 24:25. Jeff Howell placed third overall with a time of 26:02.
Christy Tindall was the top finisher among the female competitors with a time of 27:25.
Cheslin Clemons won the female under 25 category. Melissa Smith won the 30-34 category. Christi Vance earned top honors in 35-39 and Aimee Hawkins in 40-44. Susan Hardin won in 45-49, Brenda Johnson 55-59 and Betty Gill 60 and over.
Walker Hardin and Mc-Greger Lee were the top finishers among the male 19 and under.
Brad Logan won 30-34 and Andy Grass 60 and over.
Scottie Stauddy, of Grenada was the overall winner of the walk.
Abby Claire Vance and Emma Tindall were winners in the Kids’ Fun Run.
Proceeds from the event went toward the purchase of new playground equipment for Calhoun City Elementary School.
