Paul Lowrimore

Paul Edward Lowrimore, 77, of Big Creek, died Friday, May 22, 2009 at his home. He was born June 5, 1931 in Yalobusha County. He was retired from the United States Air Force.

Alvin Whitaker

Alvin Whitaker, 82, of Eupora, died Saturday, May 23, 2009 at Calhoun Health Services Nursing Home. He was born April 29, 1927, the son of Ethel and Louie Whitaker. He was retired from Mersman Brothers Woodworking and was a member of Hohenlinden Baptist Church.

Helen Davis

Helen Rebecca Davis, 93, of Halls, Tn., died Monday, May 25, 2009 at her home. She was born December 28, 1915, the daughter of Henry Benjamin Moore and Lillian Della Summers. She was a homemaker and had been a member of Poplar Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church since 1937.

Norma Sheldon

Norma Sheldon, 74, of Calhoun City, died Friday, May 22, 2009 at NMMC in Tupelo. She was born April 27, 1935 in Calhoun County, the daughter of Orie Maxwell and Mae Brasher House. She was a retired LPN for Calhoun County Nursing Home and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Wilbur McGreger

Wilburn Boyce McGreger, 88, of Pittsboro, died  Friday, May 22, 2009 at his home. He was born July 14, 1920 in Rocky Mount community, the son of Lawrence and Billie Burt McGreger. He was a member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church, was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran, and was a farmer.

William Hubbard Sr.

William Bradford Hubbard Sr., 70, of Derma, died Saturday, May 23, 2009 at his home. He was born November 6, 1938 in Calhoun County, the son of Will and Laverne Carter Hubbard. He was a retired truck driver and an Army veteran.

Audry Liles

Audry Liles, 44, died Sunday morning, May 24, 2009 at home after a brief, courageous battle with cancer. She was a graduate of Bruce High School and attended Wood Jr. College and the University of Southern Mississippi. She was employed at Calhoun Health Services for 27 years as Business Manager/-Fiscal Services. Audry was a member of Rocky Branch Baptist Church. She will be remembered for her devotion to work, family and friends.
