Martha Pounds Wilson, 74, of Fort Stockton, Tx., died September 27, 2008. She was born February 10, 1933 in Jacksboro, Tx., the daughter of Farris Pounds and Hazel Gillam.

City Hall Work Complete At Calhoun City

Next week will be the last on the square for Calhoun City’s City Hall.
The offices have been located in the old Factory Connection building on
the west side of the square for the past nine months, but they will
close Oct. 12-17 to make the move back home to the newly renovated
complex on South Monroe street.

Bruce Upset By Center Hill

trojanscenter.jpgComing off one of their best performances in a win over Baldwyn, the
Bruce Trojans put forth one of their worst in a 14-7 loss to Class 4A
Center Hill last Friday. Bruce beat Center Hill 41-20 last season at Trojan Field, but the
lethargic Trojans never gained any traction in DeSoto County and
suffered their second loss of the season.
